For starters, the LEGO Creator houses are great. They are nicely constructed, can be built 3 distinctive ways, and have a lot of neat characteristics. This set fits that bill. The reason for it is somewhat strange name - 'Apple Tree House'. That is simply because there is an apple tree in the yard. :-) The name had me scratching my head till I built the apple tree.
I got this set, amongst others, for my dad. He's in his 70's and can't get around like he employed to, but he really enjoys developing the Creator homes. Based solely on his expertise with the construction I believe this set is a small a great deal more tough than some of the other individuals, even bigger sets which he has built. The major purpose is since the roof over the garage is a couple of bricks lower than the principal roof. This truly confused my dad. Also, LEGO instructions are troublesome to comply with sometimes. This doesn't take much away from the set. It is quite significantly as entertaining as all the other sets and pretty much as fairly.
It has a few really neat touches - satellite dish, basketball target, lawn mower, and of course an apple tree. :-) It even has a downspout and outside spigote.
My dad stated it ought to have came with a car to pull into the garage.

I purchased this set for my daugter who just turned 9. I thought it was 1 of the few that wasn't completely geared to boys. She loved placing it together and now has it displayed in her area. As with all Legos, you can "play" with it gently but a thing generally falls apart even though very easy sufficient to repair. I purchased this via the internet due to the fact I was brief on time for shopping around and hadn't seen it in the stores. But within a month of purchasing, I did see this set at Toys R Us for less expensive than what I paid! That is what you get for convenience but it was worth it.
