This interactive book is as lame as any pastime my youngster engages in. It tends to make "1 Bear in the Bedroom" - the book that accompanies the new Small Touch Leap Pad - look like "Gone with the Wind." Someone somewhere is embarrassed about putting this 1 out.
We put this on our son's wish list due to the fact he loves his Leap Pad, simply because he's played "Bear" inside an inch of its life, and mainly because he's obsessed with trains. Whereas with "Bear" he'd fiddle with it for ages, figuring out how to do items and looking for new discoveries, he merely turns this 1 on and lets it run whilst he does anything else - no exploring, no attempting to figure out, not even significantly re-creation of issues he likes to do in "Bear." For this to occur with Alex with something with a train theme is fairly a (reverse) accomplishment.
The interactive activities and puzzles are too basic, both unrewarding and unengaging the music and artwork are primitive the storytelling and singing flat as a pancake. I have no concept what other new Small Touch books have or do, but we're darn certain going to come across out.
Save your dollars, or spend it on one thing else.

Terrific story, but the pictures aren't appealing to my 16 month old. A classic, inspirational story, but it is accompanied by the original cartoons. They don't seem to be a colorful and friendly searching. My son could care much less about this a single. The music and songs are terrific, but he doesn't want to be bothered if it does not get his attention visually also.
