I like this timer. It works just about every time, and it is got a loud (and adjustable) beep that is uncomplicated to hear, which tends to make it ideal for timing my heavy bag workouts. I even like the industrial, retro look-and-feel of the timer. But the user directions are some of the worst I've ever noticed. I followed the rapid-reference instructions imprinted on the leading of the timer as properly as the longer paper instructions. They are just wrong. I tried them a number of occasions, meticulously following each and every step. They did not function. So I played around with the timer until I figured out the appropriate sequence of buttons to push. I then wrote my own straight forward and short directions -- just 3 actions to set up a uncomplicated workout. So it turns out the timer certainly is very simple to use -- but you'd under no circumstances know it from the instructions.

I purchased this timer to break up my heavy bag workouts into rounds. The day I received it, the timer seemed to operate fine. There is a compact on/off switch on the top and significant quick to use buttons on the face. It was not as loud as I had hoped, but in all probability fine sufficient. The next day the timer was dead. I replaced the batteries and nothing. I think I left the power switch on, but not longer than a day. Patience and troubleshooting lasted about an hour ahead of banging it on the table and giving up. Double checked it a week later with new batteries....absolutely nothing.
