I ordered this diary and the first time my niece opened it (as I was watching) the lock broke - it in no way closed again. This happened on both diaries I bought. Important disappointment. I enjoy the concept of journals and diaries for kids - particularly valuable in a lot of techniques. But this product is not durable at all.
This was a gift for my 10 year old niece. She loved the diary. I feel it really is a entertaining way to aid children express their self and learn inventive writing.
