Consumer Critiques

I was prepared to order this case for my sons leappad but following seeking at one in store it seemed rather low cost and lacked padding/protection. The zipper was also challenging to use. I am not certain if my 3 year old would be able to do it without having help. I located a superior and a lot less expensive alternative. I purchased a lands end lunch bag. It was the fantastic size (slightly bigger, but suitable ratio length/width) and has a pocket on the inside top rated for cartridges. It gives far more padding and protection. After promo code was only $3.50. Cannot beat that!

I like the concept of a protective case for my daughter to use with her leappad. Yet, this specific case leaves a lot to be desired.
There is no way to secure the leappad into the case. There is a recess that the device rests in, but it doesn't hold the leappad securely. On a number of occasions, my daughter has tried opening the case herself only to have the leappad slip out of the case and bounce on the floor. Avoiding harm was why we purchased the case -- but the lack of a mechanism to secure the device reduces this items efficacy.
