Costumer Critiques

This is a superb Lego set for about $10. It has a wonderful red motorcycle (really old school style), a cool mini-fig (with helmets, googles, and so on), two mummy warriors (with full Pharaoh head-dress and shields), a golden staff and a great deal more. This is a fantastic set for young and old alike.

A single of the much less-pricey sets in Lego's new Pharaoh's Quest line, the Golden Staff Guardians set is fairly substantially a minifigure set, as there is truly not substantially else to construct. The minifigures are wicked cool though. You get an adventurer (Mac McLoud, apparently) with a helmet, goggles, dynamite and a rifle, plus a pair of creepy-hunting mummy warriors. They have pharaoh style headpieces, curved swords and shields shaped like scarab beetles, plus reversible heads. The other attraction is the motorcycle, which was what my son was most interested in.

Complexity - With just 70 pieces, this was an very easy set to assemble. My 5-year old put together the minifigures and the motorcycle, and I built the platform that holds the staff. It quite possibly took 15 minutes to assemble every little thing.

Playability - My son had a lot of enjoyable with this set, particularly with the McLoud figure and motorcycle. It really is hassle-free to set up many different adventures, and it didn't take considerably to incorporate these minifigures into his other Lego sets.

This is a excellent set overall, and tends to make an excellent (and inexpensive) introduction to the Pharaoh's Quest line. It's possibly worth the retail price just for the two mummy warrior minifigures.
