I expected this to be a hokey piece of plastic... skull, but was pleasantly shocked when it arrived. Yes, it is a hokey plastic skull, but it is a Honestly COOL Looking hokey plastic skull! Length is about 9-1/two inches, height is 5 inches, width is about 4-1/two inches. This makes it just a small bit smaller than a "full-size" human skull replica.

There are two settings for the color flashing lights, controlled by a switch on the bottom. In setting one particular, the skull flashes for about thirty seconds when a little button on the back is pressed. In setting two, the flashing lights stay on till turned off. The lights are powered by two AA batteries, which are included.

The skull looks surprisingly "glass (or crystal) like" when the lights are flashing blue or green.

This is a 1-piece skull. The lower jaw is portion of the mold, not separate. Nevertheless, the detail in the casting is surprisingly high. The skull looks wicked-keen when lit up in a dark room.

My grandson is totally into Indiana Jones something! Due to the fact we had currently purchased the child's costume, whip, satchel, and then the genuine Fedora hat, the skull was the final touch! He loves the film and went to bed with his alien skull the night he got it for his birthday! Fantastic Toy! Definitely matches the film!
