Our 8-year old son is a huge fan of the Indiana Jones Lego Wii game. Although my husband and I are massive fans of the films as well, we do not really feel they are proper for him to watch until he is about 11. That being stated, we were extremely excited to shop for this DVD game for our son, as it really is clearly labeled a "loved ones" game and for children 8+, so we assumed the film scenes would be proper for 8 year olds... They are not It's basically way worse, simply because the movie scenes are clips of the the most violent and scary scenes from the movies (all the scenes where a person dies), with no any context to even recognize them. The to begin with time we played the game, our son saw a man's head get chopped off, another get ripped to shreds by a plane prop., a different get speared via the neck, and a different get crushed below a steam roller - all uncensored. Our son was horrified, and we have banned the game to the prime shelf till he is old enough to see the movies. The game itself was enjoyable to play, and every little thing functions seriously awesome in conjunction with the DVD. What a shame that they couldn't decide on much more suitable scenes, or at the especially least, label the game appropriately. This game need to be rated for teens and up, because with no the context of the full story, these clips viewed in isolation are highly disturbing.

I purchased this to play with my sons (11 and five). We had a awesome time playing it and enjoyed it extremely a lot. It is annoying that you cannot skip the video, but it doesn't ruin the game. It does take a long time to play, so we altered the guidelines slightly in our game, once you're in with an artifact, you do not have to leave to try once more. The 5yo was kind of along for the ride--it does take a small skill, and is extra suited for older youngsters--but he enjoyed becoming a part of it all.
